Sinai At Its Best Day Tours – Our Trip Through the Desert

We booked a trip with Ashraf Safari – Sinai At Its Best Day Tours – just the two of us. Ashraf arranged our pickup at our hotel in Sharm, then we met up in Dahab. From there, we drove out to the Farm Canyon, one of the colourful canyons in the area with fascinating eroded rock formations.

LUNCH AT OASIS AIN KHODRA
Ashraf and our driver Khobir prepared an excellent lunch after the hike through the canyon. The oasis was a pleasant stop among the palm trees.

The sand is so fine you sink in like fine snow. Here’s Ashraf walking along the steep face of the dune. Notice how the sand kicks up, we were sinking past our ankles in the soft sand.

DINNER UNDER THE STARS
After the trip, we opted for for another fantastic home-cooked meal courtesy of Ashraf. He prepared the meal and we ate under the stars near Dahab, in a Bedouin camp. This was a fantastic end to a wonderful day.
