This is an amazing red-sandstone tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. It was built in 1572. A feature of this tomb, like the Taj Mahal that followed it, is  the formal gardens surrounding it. The gardens are slowly being restored as the land is recovered from private owners who built over the gardens after the Mughals were defeated and the land abandoned.
